We have undertaken large urban estate regeneration schemes in several London Boroughs acting as lead consultant and building a team of professionals to design and deliver the client’s project goals by transforming estates and neighbourhoods.
This work involves consultation with the wider community to record the issues that are affecting the residents and neighbours in order for us to address any concerns within our design. Resident engagement is a crucial part of the process and through careful management and continued dialogue, residents are supportive of the improvements proposed.
GDS has successfully completed neighbourhood and urban regeneration to improve unsatisfactory housing conditions and enhance the local environment with the aim of creating neighbourhoods where people want to live, work and visit.
The aim of these projects is to improve employment prospects, local facilities, health and other issues important to local people by improving and changing the configuration of housing available in the area.
These projects involve taking the worst private sector accommodation, street property and particularly HMOs into social ownership and remodelling, converting and refurbishing them to provide quality family housing in order to raise property and management standards.
