Regeneration projects form a growing part of our business. We have undertaken large scale urban estate regeneration schemes in several London Boroughs acting as lead consultant and building a team of professionals to design and deliver the client’s project goals by transforming estates and neighbourhoods.
In addition to providing decent, thermally efficient homes we have been involved with improving neighbourhood problems and anti-social behaviour by creation of a quality environment, improved security and ecological enrichment, all of which has a direct effect on the resident’s lives as well as increasing the value of our client’s asset.
As well as statutory and advisory bodies such as Secure by Design our work involves consultation with the wider community to record the issues that are affecting them in order for us to address their problems with our design. This resident engagement is a crucial part of the process and through careful management and continued dialogue residents generally are supportive of the improvements proposed.
As well as large scale urban regeneration our surveyors have successfully completed specific neighbourhood regeneration schemes to improve unsatisfactory housing conditions and the local environment.
The aim with these projects is to improve employment prospects, social facilities, health and other issues important to local people in order to make their environment an area where people want to live, work and visit.
These projects involve taking the worst private sector accommodation, street property and particularly HMOs into social ownership and remodel, convert and refurbish them to provide decent family housing in order to raise property and management standards.
