Employer’s Agent & Development Monitoring

Requirements of Employer’s Agents vary between clients, with some requiring a simple contract administration service, whereas others require full project management services. Our team of employer’s agents are all Chartered Building Surveyors with expert knowledge of design, specification and contract administration and are therefore fully equipped to fulfil the role irrespective of the duties required.

Our employer’s agents are highly trained with excellent project management and organisational skills as well as a detailed knowledge of construction technology and building contracts. With our skills we provide a service with an emphasis on build quality with consideration to whole life cost and future maintenance, which can sometimes be a secondary concern to designers.

We have undertaken technically challenging projects and foster an inclusive style of management whereby we prefer the client, contractor and employer’s agent to work collaboratively as a team to ensure that the project is successful for all. We use MS Project to aide us with the monitoring of the constructor’s program and ensure that attention is paid to the control of project risk.

Working on behalf of funders, owners and potential occupiers of property, we can also provide a development monitoring function. Our approach to this is as described above and the successful conclusion of several schemes has resulted in GDS being retained to act again for both funders and developers.
